Hiker's diary

Hiker’s diary is more than a diary and more than recording of hiking routes. It became my own personal and artistic project. Visuals are based on photographs taken during hiking. Technique includes photographs mixed with drawings in Procreate and supported with typography as reminiscence of street art and graphic design. The starting point of the project is premise that life begins on the edges of comfort zone, therefore all the routes recorded within the project were not known for me at particular recorded moment. Respecting my own limitations, I based my paths on maps and thus expanded the domain. These visually recorded intimate statements are published on Instagram and Facebook on daily and weekly basis. Considering NFT, Hiker’s diary is online project that may be recognized through its continuity through the time, storytelling in the form of travelogue, as Art through its’ visually apealing technique and artistic qualities. Conceptually project was recognized by Croatian travel Club and received the first prize in category Project on their contest organized for enthusiasts dedicated to travel and adventure. Instead of conclusion, it may be said that Hiker’s diary is growing project.

San

Word san in Japanese means the number three. It may have symbolical meaning that includes three aspects of unity through mind, body and spirit or connecting past, present and future. On the other hand, the word with the same pronunciation in Croatian means dream. My collection may be described through these meanings incorporated in the San because of a dreamlike setting that represents my own visions of future through contrast. Future, according to me, raises ethical questions such as - how far can we go with our scientific projections; what means to be human; what can we learn from the past? These questions may not be answered, just considered whenever we step ahead.

About San animation

In this expressive animation, focus is on the San - Japanese number "three" with symbolical meaning that includes body, spirit and mind. Body, spirit and mind are depicted through hand, dog and spider in a manner of ancient representations of deities. Spider moves around frame and connects parts such as lines and net to form a hand. Dog as good spirit is seen as negative space with no motion. All three aspects make Unity. This artwork may remind on dream because of surreal relation between spider, hand and dog. Question behind this artwork is - what means to be human?
